a touch of aloha
Borrowing tropical elements from the bride’s home state of Hawaii, Summer Strauch, an executive television producer and photographer and Kiernan McGuire, a CEO, planned an epic beach bash for 120 guests. As a symbol of hospitality and friendship, dozens of fresh pineapples were woven throughout the day’s design, and each guest was greeted with a white orchid lei and pineapple filled with fruit juice upon entering the ceremony space. “I always wanted to marry under a lush arch of monstera leaves, which symbolize good luck,” Summer says. “The end result was just as magical as I dreamt it would be.”
